TSB Bank

208-210 High St, Chatham ME4 4AP, UK – 01634 699998

I rang for a bit of advice and the representative was quite defensive and talked over me when my call was not a criticism. Perhaps need to work on their telephone manners

Quality and Friendly Staff.

56 High St, Rochester ME2 4AG, UK – 0345 788 8444

Very helpful staff especially the young blonde girl, shame that the older generation can't use the ATM or online banking for their banking needs They cause the queue's! Never queued to use the ATM inside the branch and never have to queue using the online app!!!

Very helpful staff. Although looks small, service is quick

104 High St, Rochester ME2 4TS, UK – 0345 740 4404

I went into hsbc Strood today to deposit some money . Id come down from London to visit my mum. Whilst she went to boots I stood in line. When I got to the counter & made said deposit I had severe chest pains. (I suffer from heart & blood pressure problems ). As I tried to take a breath the cashier Natalie noticed something was wrong & immediately jumped into action. Telling me to "sit down right now I'm coming to you" . She brought me water & found my pills for me rang my mum & stayed very calm in a very tense situation.. she kept me talking & totally put me at ease asking me if I needed an ambulance she would get one straight away. I explained my condition & she talked me through it whilst I calmed down. I just wanted to say thank you so very much Natalie. Your instincts were spot on & without u taking control I would have needed that ambulance. ... you went above & beyond for me today without question & I thank you from the bottom of my heart (excuse the pun) & my mum thanks you also !! Xxxx

friendly, efficient staff, also a help desk, clean pleasant surroundings, however sometimes long waits because there are only three cashier desks.

Fantastic staff, a great help. They are all a credit to Nationwide. Thank you ladies.

Oradent Dental Care - City Way

18 City Way, Rochester ME1 2AB, UK – 01634 842549

After a disappointing experience at another local dentist I decided to try Oradent and could not be happier that I did. The dentist took her time to explain everything properly, showing me why she was saying what she was, and giving me the various options. It was exactly what you'd hope for from a trip to the dentist! A review below says that the reception staff gave bad customer service and didn't want to be there. Not to undermine anyone else's experience but that was absolutely not the impression I got at all. There were three people behind the desk and all of them were great with me and who I saw them interact with. It's as friendly a place as you can expect a dentist to be in my opinion.

My dentist is brilliant he's Eoin o,carroll, he explains everything and has helped improve my oral health and teeth as has the hygienist very good service 😆

Gibraltar Dental Practice

Gibraltar House, New Road, Chatham ME4 4RY, UK – 01634 400128

I am a very anxious person when it came to the dentist, but when I went for sedation to have 4 teeth out I couldn’t have been made more at ease. I met two gentlemen one a dentist and the other a dentist who gave me the sedation. They took me through what teeth were coming out and what would happen next regarding dentures etc. I want to thank everyone at Gibraltar House for making me feel less afraid!

Have just had a large back top tooth extracted at this practice and in all of my seventy years of always having massive dental problems, mainly due to my awkward teeth, I have finally found a practice that put me instantly at ease, I did not feel a thing, the aftercare was superb and even a phone call the next day to ask if everything was ok. I was,nt butchered, no stitches needed and hardly any bleeding, for the first time ever. Thank you to the lovely dentist, he put me so at ease and was so very caring about my comfort in the surgery, as we're all the staff.

Thorndike Dental Care

374 High St, Rochester ME1 1DJ, UK – 01634 817417

The high standard of care and service hasn't changed for as long as I have been a client; - and remains evident.

All the staff are all so lovely & make you feel at ease. Nice clean & tidy throughout practice

Bryant Street Medical Centre

29 Bryant St, Chatham ME4 5QS, UK – 01634 848911

I have been with this practice for only a few months. So far it has been very good. The only suggestion would be to update waiting area and reception. It is quite old fashioned and dreary. Getting appointments has been good and referrals when neccesary excellent.

Dr I M Ali

68 New Rd, Chatham ME4 4QR, UK – 01634 828665

Brilliant doctor, appointments the same day. Been going since I can remember. Would definitely recommend

Dr J N Ray

The Medical Centre, Gun Ln, Rochester ME2 4UW, UK – 01634 290644

Absolutely first class, I needed to register, I called them up and they answered their phone (which was a first if previous experience is anything to go by). Polite and friendly gave me clear advice. I went down same day, A warm friendly welcome, I filled the forms out, the receptionist processed me immediately and I was able to see the nurse then and there. I can not express how easy they made it for me. I saw the nurse and was able to come straight out and make an appointment to see a doctor an hour and a half later. The waiting room had a clear system of who was being called into doctors and in what room. The Doctor brilliant, he was knowledgeable about my illness and it was a breath of fresh air to be able to talk to him about it, where as my last doctors didn't have a clue. Excellent start!

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Rochester

Elizabeth's Restaurant

154 High St, Rochester ME1 1ER, UK – 01634 843472

Fabulous food and wine, a little pricey but if you want to go out for a special meal, then this is the place. The Chef gave us a little amuse bouche soup which was super tasty and the portion sizes for starters and main were great. Pudding however was incredible with a huge portion and well put together. The fact that you can also book online is also a great bonus.

Decided to go out rather than cook and asked Google for a good restaurant. Found it! The food and serivce were great. welcoming and warm with a very good gin and wine selection.. beautifully cooked meal for 2 with wine, drinks, coffee £85.00 great value. So why a 4 star not 5..trained chef's spot minor errors. That didn't detract from our evening and will return. Thank you Elizabeth's

Oliver's Bar & Restaurant

186 High St, Rochester ME1 1EY, UK – 01634 847629

Man, where do I even begin? Oliver’s is incredible. Not only do they take super real care of us when we go for drinks, we chose them as our wedding reception and I regret absolutely nothing. It was my husband’s idea to use them, I was a bit iffy about a bar being my reception location, but knowing how Oliver’s has always treated my in-laws and husband, I knew we would be taken care of. I’m American, and since some of my family were coming over, our wedding food requests were a little odd and terribly simple (fish n chips, clam chowder, Alfredo, all different American VS English foods) when we went in for a tasting, the chef made us THREE separate tartar sauces to see which we liked better, and her clam chowder was almost exactly like the clam chowder I miss back home in Seattle. Our menu seemed simple, with caprese, steak, fish n chips, pasta, but she made the ordinary extraordinary, it was the best steak, best fish n chips, best chowder! She truly went above and beyond in even the smallest ways, and we’re still getting compliments on our wedding food months later ❤️ staff were all friendly and wonderful the whole night, despite our relatives drunken shenanigans, and I couldn’t have been happier anywhere else.

Best food I've eaten all year, the lamb roast was increiblin and cheesecake was great too. In adfition we had kind and friendly service. Would really recommend anyone to go here when visiting Rochester!

Thai Four Two Restaurant

164 High St, Rochester ME1 1EX, UK – 01634 840451

Such delicious food. Never dissapoints. Their pad Thai is the best I've tasted. We like really spicy food and they are always happy to add more chilli for us. It's best to book if you can. It is popular here.

Excellent fresh food and very tasty. They do gluten free options if required too. The inside of the restaurant is done up like a court yard with a varanda very quaint. I have been here twice now in one month I highly recommend it.
